It is now officially confirmed - as we have already reported, in the 2020 season Formula 1 will also host in Germany and on Portugal and for the first time in sixteen years also on the scene of the former GP San Marino.

Nurburgring was given the opportunity after negotiations with Hockenheimring, which was the first favorite to jump in instead of canceled races on other continents. It is interesting to race on Nürburgring will not be called the German GP, as one might expect, but Eiffel Grand Prix (hills in western Germany where the racetrack lies, op. cit.). The race on the Nürburgring will otherwise be scheduled October 11.

The current calendar of this year's Formula 1 season.

Along with the race for Eifel Grand Prix as expected, they also confirmed the race in F1 Imoli in Portimão in Portugal. At the legendary racetrack Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari Formula 1 race cars will be driven on October 30th. and November 1. Compact a two-day event will be the final of the European season. The FIA is still waiting for confirmation of the necessary changes for the race. Here, too, the established name of the grand prize will change. Instead of “San Marino GP” is the official name of the race “GP Emilje Romanje”.

A week earlier, the Formula 1 race will be hosted by the Portuguese Portimao (October 25). At least a few spectators are supposed to be allowed in the stands there as well. There is talk of a number of at least ten thousand. Regarding the spectators in the stands, they are also optimistic Imoli and on Nürburgring, where they are still preparing a concept that would allow fans to visit the race in relatively large numbers.

Altogether, the F1 calendar for the 2020 season is expected to count 17 dirk, which is five less than the expected 22. In fact, at most F1 racetracks, you will have to forget about entrance fees, but by performing such a number of races they will secure payouts from television rights.
