McLAREN wants permanent FIA "guards" in teams for better control

Andreas Seidl, the head of the McLaren team, is in favor of stricter compliance with the rules and therefore wants permanent FIA commissioners in Formula 1 teams.

It doesn't matter if it's about Mercedes DAS system but presumably a copy of the silver arrow from Racing Point: The protests are in Formulas 1 something everyday and not just this season. But because it throws at the sport poor light, too much for many, you are at McLarn they want stronger control of the rules.

Team boss Andreas Seidl it even has a concrete proposal. I would put up with all the teams permanent commissioners of the FIA. "Simply to ensure that it is perfectly clear to all teams that there is no room for policy violations," so Nemec. How could this one measure in the end it looked like Seidl he hasn’t thought about the details yet, but I would welcome this step because we could better control the sport. “And it would also help to prevent all these debates and protests.“Because subsequent changes for sports are not exactly good.

Team boss McLaren suggests that the FIA, in order to avoid unnecessary debates and protests on each team, appoint a permanent commissioner to monitor compliance with the rules in the team.

Therefore McLaren also supports other measures it has launched FIA, such as whistleblower concept, where you can log in anonymously suspicious conduct. "It's important for every team to know how much risk there is if you don't follow the rules, if they find you and then you're punished,”He says Seidl. "I believe that a threat mechanism would already help everyone to follow the same rules. This is important for competition because we all want to have fair competition between all teams."
