KEVIN MAGNUSSEN resigns: “We didn't have any more useful tires”

Kevin Magnussen, a Haas racer, said he resigned from the Formula 70 1th anniversary Grand Prix race because they no longer had usable tires.

Team racer Haas started the race on a medium tire mix. He did it two stops, where he first used a used set of tires and then a new set. But ten laps before the end, he told the team by radio that he really had a lot of blisters on his left rear tire.

"If you can make it to the end, it's good”Said his engineer. “If not, we will go to C4 (soft mix).“Nevertheless, the team decided against the installation of soft tires, which were not used by almost any other racer in the race due to rapid wear. Magnussen they ordered him to be brought to the pits, which meant something to him end of the race. The Dane later told the media that he was withdrawn from the race because "we had no more tires.“The vibrations in his tires are there Haas prevent him from being left on the track on a hard mix, says the team boss Günther Steiner. "In the end, we had to pull Kevin out of the race as there were vibrations and we were no longer sure how badly they would affect the suspension."

Kevin Magnussen, who didn’t recognize his race car in the last race compared to the one from the first race weekend in Silverstone, had to resign in the second race because he had no more usable tires.

Magnussen had a difficult weekend, which he believes is to blame repairing his race car after colliding with Alex Albon at the first Silverstone race. “The race car this weekend was not what I know it to be. We know we can do well in Sunday's race with this car, but this time it wasn't like that. We had this accident last week and I think the parts we put on the race car for this race weekend are old parts. I can’t really say what it could be. But I think that's it, I don't know, because the car is much better than that."
