ŠKODA ENYAQ iV: Czech electric SUV with 510 km REACH

Škoda presents its first electric SUV: the Enyaq iV is available in five versions with a range of up to 510 km and a power output of up to 306 hp

After an intensive presentation campaign, Škoda finally showed a serial version of the model Enyaq IV, which is the first electric SUV of the Czech brand and technically a cousin of the upcoming Volkswagen ID.4. Both vehicles (like ID.3) are based on modular platforms for electric vehicles (MEB) of the VW Group.

Enyag is about the same size as Kodiaq - to be more precise, it is six centimeters shorter. The exact dimensions are 4.649 millimeters in length, 1.879 millimeters in width and 1.616 millimeters in height, and the wheelbase is 2.765 millimeters. It's in the trunk 585 liters of luggage, the maximum volume when the rear row is folded has not yet been published. However, this is noticeably less than at five-seater Kodiaqu. Depending on the position of the rear seats, it can hold between 650 and 835 liters of luggage, the maximum volume is 2.065 liters.

Na voljo je five versions, three with rear-wheel drive and two four-wheel drive. Depending on the version, the power varies between 109 and 225 kW (148 to 306 KM). There are also three different batteries for range between 340 and 510 kilometers. Top speed of the top version vRS is 180 km / h and thus 20 km / h higher than other versions.

Enyag is charged either by alternating current (up to 11 kW) either by direct current at a fast charging station (up to 125 kW). In the second case, it lasts to get the largest battery (82 kWh, net 77 kWh) fills 5 to 80 percent. Pri 11 kW charging takes six to eight hours, depending on the battery.

Visually Enyaq IV corresponds to the new design philosophy of the Czech brand, which was presented with the model Ladder. A special feature is the motor mask, the vertical bars of which in higher versions are illuminated by LED diodes; there is also a horizontal LED light strip on the mask itself. LED headlights are standard, LED matrix headlights and turn signals are available as accessories.

In the middle of the tailgate dominates inscription Skoda. The overall image also includes a matte black spoiler and a gray diffuser. Roof battens, window frames and mask frames are available in chrome, high gloss or matte black. You can choose from light rims in sizes from 18 to 21 inches.

Enyag is the first Škoda to have an augmented reality projection screen. It projects information into two different areas: directly above the dashboard and at a higher level, where the elements of virtual reality appear in driver's field of vision.

Infotainment screen on the center console, with 13 inches, it is the largest Škoda monitor to date. They used it inside sustainable materials, such as leather, wool and recyclable materials. The novelty is that there is no standard interior design, but ten different design choices that vary in seat covers, trim strips and materials.

At Škoda, they promise at the start of the sale a special version of Founders Edition, which can be ordered immediately, and the first deliveries are announced only for next year. We are still waiting for official prices.
