WOLFF jokingly: We will sell stocks and lease buildings for HAMILTON

Wanting to sign a contract with Hamilton, his boss Toto Wolff joked that he would have to sell stocks and lease buildings just to be able to afford the British racing star.

The 35-year-old Briton wrote history on Sunday Formula 1when he reached his 92. victory. It's 2006 Michael Schumacher set a record in wins when in the race GP of China ZE 91 was the first to cross the finish line. A record that many thought would never be surpassed. But that is exactly what happened in Portugal on Sunday.

Hamilton is a Portuguese GP race in Portimão won by sovereign driving, brought to the finish line with an advantage 25 seconds in front of his teammate Valtteri Bottas and is now himself the record holder in victories. It was another impressive achievement of the racer showing no signs of slowing down. But many are surprised that still has no contract for next season, as his contract with Mercedes and although he has repeatedly stressed that he wants to continue, he is with the boss Wolff they have not yet sat down at the table. Wolff reckons he will Hamilton cost a lot of money or so £ 120 million for three years, though Hamilton recently stated that he is not sure if he wants to race for Mercedes for another three years.

Lewis Hamilton achieved his record 92nd victory in Portugal, thus overtaking Michael Schumacher in terms of the number of victories.

"That's a lot of money,”Is for colleagues Sky Sports jokingly said Wolff on pending negotiations for a new contract. “We’re going to have to sell a lot of stock and lease the buildings just to get the money. However, this will be well spent money." Hamilton won in a Mercedes 71 of the total 92 wins and on top of that five titles champion. This year, he is well on his way to achieving with Mercedes sixth title and seventh overall, which will equate him to another Schumacher record. In case he continues, he can surpass him for the second year and still put himself at the top here.

Toto Wolff, head of the Mercedes team, jokingly said after the Portuguese GP race that they would sell stocks and lease the buildings in Brixworth and Brackley, just to secure the money needed for Hamilton’s new contract.

"Who would have thought that Lewis, when we embarked on this project together in 2013, could have achieved 92 victories ?,He added Wolff. "This is almost unrealistic. This is thanks to his absolute passion, energy and everything he has invested in this sport. His talent and ability stand out here. What I saw at Lewis this year is the fact that it is escalating over the racing weekend. He was restrained at the start of Sunday's race, but then he just stepped up and had incredible speed,He added Austrian.
