VOLVO Recharge Concept as ANNOUNCEMENT of the new generation XC90 model

Volvo insists on the path of complete electrification of its sales program, which is also proven by the Recharge concept, which can also be a prediction of the new generation of the XC90 model.

The concept is quite design-wise more radical from serial models XC60 in XC90, at Volvo however, they claim to be a concept refill the first representative of the new design philosophy, which was named by the Swedish brand “Less but better”, so less, but therefore better. Philosophy strives to eliminate unnecessary design elements and, as they say at Volvo, delivers clean and precise lines.

Instead of the classic refrigerator grille it is Volvo Recharge got some kind of shield on which to shine Volvo logo. It is surrounded by headlights with a new interpretation of Volvo's characteristic lights in the shape of Thor's hammer. The side line of the vehicle expresses coupe style, which ends in a steeply cut rear end with vertically placed rear lights that jam into the tailgate.

Also inside follows the principle “Less but better”, which means a minimalist approach and a large, vertically placed 15-inch infotainment system screen. Study offers space for four passengers separated in the middle "Floating" center console.

The Swedes were stingy about the technical features of the concept refill, however, revealed that it is based on new platforms, designed exclusively for electric models, which, among other things, allows a flat bottom of the passenger cabin and also more space for passengers and luggage.

Volvo Recharge is officially a study, but at the same time a precursor to a new generation of the model Volvo XC90, which the Swedes are expected to present next year.
