We also had to carefully choose which tires we wanted to drive at what time. We are the first and that is the most important thing. It’s a great racetrack, but especially hard in the rain. At first we went to the track with tires for heavy rain, but we were slow. Then we switched to intermediates and these tires in standing water are not suitable, but I am very happy to have such good qualifications after the summer break."
George Russell, Williams - second place"I do not know what to say. I thought I would do my job well to progress from Q1. Now, however, I stand in the front row. The boys did an excellent job. On the track, the race car felt great at the right time, I had a lot of confidence, so let’s move on tomorrow. I think I was in a happy position and had nothing to lose. I was in Q3, which is not normal for us, so I bet everything on one quick lap. I’m still shaking now, but tomorrow it will be important to collect as many points as possible.
