HONDA aims to CHANGE RULES to repair damaged engine VERSTAPPNA

Pri Red Bullu will have to face penalties for Max Verstappn and Sergio Perez at some point in future races, as both of their engines were badly damaged in a collision with the Mercedes.

For this reason, now Honda focuses on the potential policy change, which would allow repair Verstappn's and Perez's engine without penalty.

Toyoharu Tanabe, Technical Manager Honda, describes engine damage. “With Max's engine, racing is no longer possible. Chec's engine is completely destroyed. In the case of Max, it would still be possible to use this engine if we replace certain parts, but we cannot do that with the current rules,”So Japanese for colleagues from crash.net. Unfortunately, there are parts he wants to replace Japanese manufacturer, those who drag behind penalties mark-up of cities.

Toyoharu Tanabe is in favor of changing the rules when replacing engine parts that were damaged in a collision caused by someone else - in their case, Mercedes.

"Of course, Honda respects the rules, but in our situation, I think there is room to review those rules. I think it is possible in this case to start talks about replacing parts. We can look at the collisions again, look at the impact data, chassis and engine damage, and then we can talk about whether we’ll cast that role. Given the current financial situation (due to the budget ceiling), I think we could consider this," Ends Tanabe.
