All the way to the race for British GP je Red Bull had a strong series, but damage to the tires in Azerbaijan supposed to Pirelli forced into it to design new rear tire. After he had Max Verstappen the accident in Baku when his rear tire burst, he now has an accident with this new rear tire compound.

"Red Bull it’s always present anyway, because they’ve been doing it for five years or more, tracking suspension errors, creating the shape and stiffness of the rear diffuser, and everything else to get where they want to be. Mercedes didn't focus so much on the diffuser because their car is different,”Is Windsor said in his video. “When Pirelli made new, harder rear tires, this practically lifted Mercedes to its feet, because suddenly they had a real ‘wall’ around the diffuser. On Red Bull this did not have such a great effect because they were not so far away."

Peter Windsor is convinced he has a Mercedes compared to Red Bull with the introduction of a new rear benefit benefit that is mirrored on the track from Silverstone onwards.

It's about that Red Bull carried the burden of this new tire introduced in the middle of the season. According to Windsor, Formula 1, FIA, teams in Pirelli they cannot know this in advance. Data about these tires is almost non-existent as not many have been tested. “Because they wanted harder and stronger tires to prevent injuries, Pirelli made a tire that eased Mercedes ’problems in the rear of the car a bit. As a fan Red Bullbut you’ll probably think that’s not fair. It is not fair that Max's tire was damaged in Baku and it is not fair that this change has a greater impact on Red Bull as on a Mercedes. But Pirelli will say that they do it for other reasons and that this is not their problem," Ends Windsor.
