FREE warns against declining interest in F1 due to the large NUMBER OF RACES

Last season was very intense and exhausting with 22 races. It should be noted here that there were two races in Austria, which means that the teams did not have to travel at the time, but this year we have a record 23 races.

Unlike last year this year all the races will take place on different tracks. Besides Formula 1 doctor - if the coronavirus pandemic allows it - to racetracks in Kanadi, Singapore, Japan in Australia. Racers and teams have to fly through different time zones, which is a concern for the physical health of many people. An important reason to perform 23 dirk this season is undeniable commercial. More races means more revenue from sponsors and fees from organizers. Free says there must be good balance during the number of races, how often they want to fans watch the races and how much money can be generated. “If you have more success and attract more sponsors, you might be able to have a few races less. That doesn't seem to be the case at the moment."
