In emotions they overheated throughout the 2021 season when they Lewis Hamilton in Max Verstappen fought for the title, while their teams Mercedes in Red Bull they also contributed their share of the quarrels, although all of them took place without insults.

But as usual in online world, went at times last season too far. And in view of this there was no greater example or case than in Abu Dhabiwhen later Nicholas latifi revealed that he was on his own running before the end of the race that changed unfolding the finale, received death threats. Popov is the degree of toxicity that took place among the fans Formula 1, described as terrifying and frightening. “I had almost the most views on my YouTube channel in the video titled ‘Max quits?’. It was just a reaction to the people who started telling the story - supposedly Max said he was leaving. And I just made it clear he wasn’t going to do that."

Popov continues: “I just made it clear he wasn’t going anywhere. It was just a fact and things like that attract people. And what was the story like? As I began to unravel the whole plot, I found an original interview that was on a BBC podcast. I listened to him twice. Turning what a man has said to this extent is a real challenge. I understand that this is an unhealthy story today because people are not interested in the details, but just a big headline so they can drop in the comments and start insulting each other,”He explained Rus and in doing so relates to the fact that people are already in title they know just about everything and arrange the whole thing own thinking. What's more, many bring them just yourself encourage and contribute to such an atmosphere.

"I always thought Formula 1 was different from, say, football. I was very happy and proud to have much more intelligent fans who respect each other. And who respect the racers they cheer for, as well as other racers and their teams. But last year was sometimes quite scary. I’ve noticed that people talk nonsense about others. Honestly, this is not the Formula 1 I was proud of at one point. And then you start thinking, does the sport need more popularity with that, if it brings with it a level like ‘you’re a fool, your favorite racer is this and that ?,He added Popov.

Alexei Popov, a Russian Formula 1 commentator, expressed his disappointment and concern over the toxic atmosphere of Formula 1 fans last season.

"Of course, this is not an exclusively Russian problem that I mentioned. The same can be seen on social networks and portals around the world, in all languages. This does not mean that if it is bad somewhere, it should be the same with us. Of course, I'm not saying we're like that. It’s just very pathetic. In my mind, there was such a community of people that all belonged together. Understandably, they may be cheering for different people, but this is not a football game where some people from the stands are arguing or cursing and insulting each other," Ends Russian Formula 1 commentator, which in the eyes of many said the essence and core of the problem, which still runs on the world wide web and social networks, despite the fact that the 2022 season is already at the door.
