BARCELONA racetrack before the renovation, which should be completed by TESTING

When the Formula 1 circus arrives in Spain for the first pre-season tests, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya track will look quite different. Because the racetrack is currently undergoing major renovations.

Although not all fans satisfied with a track, however, is a racetrack Circuit of Barcelona-Catalonia a Formula 1 veteran when it comes to racetracks. Royal motorsport race cars drive along this track continuously since the year 1991 without canceling a single race.

This is because the organizers have extended the contract with Liberty Medium to run a Formula 1 race until November 2026. In return, the organizers of the track agreed with the head of Formula 1 Stefan Domenicalithat the facilities will benefit renovations. In addition, the renovation process is underway in the fight against time, because the Formula 1 caravan will appear on the new cars first tests before the 2022 season, which will run from February 23-25. And by that date, a complete overhaul will need to be done so that the teams can optimally prepared to a new period of Formula 1.
