RICCIARDO ready for the opening race of the season in BAHRAIN

The McLaren team has confirmed that Daniel Ricciardo is “ready to race” in the opening race of the Bahrain Grand Prix after beating Covid-19.

Ricciardo had to miss all three days of testing last week Bahrainbecause he felt bad at first and then he was on Friday night positive for coronavirus test. That's why he had to Lando Norris completed the entire program of the team and drove away in three days despite some problems with the car 200 rounds.

V press release the team wrote: “The McLaren F1 Team confirms that after a positive test at Covid-19 last week, Daniel Ricciardo has now passed a number of negative tests and will therefore be able to return to the paddock ready to compete at the Bahrain GP this weekend on Thursday. Daniel felt better every day as he recovered in isolation according to local regulations in Bahrain."

Although it is Andreas Seidl, team boss McLaren kept hoping that Australian however competed in the opening race of the season in Bahrain, the two were Stoffel vandoorne in Nyck de Vries, backup racer team Mercedes, with which he has McLaren agreement, on standby. With the team Alpine however, they offered the services of their reserve racer to the British team Oscar Piastri, but this will not be necessary now.
