Boss McLaren, Zak Brown, confirmed that he would be sitting at the negotiating table with Daniel Ricciard in the second half of the year and discussing further cooperation with him. The Australian has been a member of the team from Woking, is still not achieving the results of his younger teammate Land Norris, despite the fact that he brought the Oranges their first victory since 2013 at Monza last year.
It is this season Ricciardo however much closer Norris, despite failing to score points in three of the four races. Ricciard's contract expires at the end of next season, at McLarn however, we would like to provide Australian services in the future as well.
"He's always better in racing and he's getting better in qualifying, too." he told about the form of his protégé Brown and added. "He has made a lot of progress compared to last season, he knows the team well and he has a great relationship with Land."
