International Automobile Federation FIA is one of his own important officials in Formula 1 replaced by a former Mercedes teammate. Yesterday they announced that he was Austrian Peter bayer resigns and that he will be temporarily replaced by a British woman Shaila Ann Rao.
Bayer has been since 2017 Secretary General for Sport and from 2021 Executive Director FIAs in Formula 1. That would be in his absence President of the FIA the highest operational ombudsman for Formula 1 races. Why Bayer leaves s immediate effect, is still unknown, but news of his departure comes amid speculation about friction with FIA in Formula 1.
