Kia seltos of the 2024 model year debuted this June in South Korea. Now a refreshed compact Crossover celebrates its premiere in USA at the car show in Los Angeles, including all the drivetrain and technology details.
It may be a name for many seltos new. But an SUV with length 4,39 meters in many parts of the world it occupies the same segment that it fills here in Europe Let's XCeed. Now Seltos optically approaches the new Sportage. And probably many will ask themselves, wouldn't this also be something for Europe? It will be remade in the US seltos available with upgraded 1,6 liter turbo engine Gamma, who can now 197 BAM, which is 20 hp more power. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and is only available with four-wheel drive.
The base engine is still there 2,0 liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 148 BAM and 179 Nm of torque. The transmission takes care of shifting here CVT. Both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are available. Refreshed seltos in the US version it looks just like the South Korean version. It has a more distinctive grille with an optional lighting effect”Star Map". Some models are equipped with LED headlights, and the vertical fog lights have a new look. At the rear, the taillights now extend over the entire tailgate. Buyers can choose from three new exterior colors: Pluto Blue, Fusion Black in Valais Green. The Seltis offer is complemented by new, robust equipment X line. This one has a bronze metallic look front grille, 18-inch wheels, a black roof rack and bright door surrounds.
Kia at updated To Seltos it also offers a new, more modern interior. Buyers can choose 10,25-inch a digital instrument panel and a 10,25-inch infotainment screen. If buyers do not want these huge screens, they can opt for 4,2-inch monitor in the instrument panel, replacing the previous 3,5-in. Redesigned controls HVAC it keeps the physical buttons. Selta's interior now has four USB ports, two in front and two in back. A power tailgate and ventilated front seats are available with select packages.
Updated seltos will be available in the US in the first half of the year 2023. Prices will be announced shortly before the market launch.
