Huawei is a controversial company for many, having fallen out of favor with the US government due to alleged espionage operations, yet they are doing anything but poorly despite the sanctions they have been hit with. The Chinese technology giant has numerous patents, which are also interesting to a wider circle of car manufacturers, as in Huawei they also take advantage of it.
Brands as they are Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Subaru, Renault, Lamborghini in Bentley, have all signed cooperation agreements with Huawei in recent months, and the Chinese company has now announced that we will be seeing their technology in 15 million vehicles annually, which is just under a quarter of all vehicles produced in the world in a year.
Huawei is still reeling from the consequences of the sanctions, which mainly affected its smartphone and semiconductor division, so they rely to a greater extent on income from patents, from which they also buy licenses in this area American companies.
