ASKA's FLYING car is also at CES

The Aska A5 has movable wings, engines with tilting rotors, and series production is expected to begin before 2026.

CES fair v Las Vegas it wouldn't be CES if it didn't feature at least one proposal flying car. This time they presented their trump card at the company Aska. The California-based company, founded in 2018, is new on the scene, but has already brought a working prototype to the fair, which is said to be able to be driven both on the road and in the sky.

Aska claims that the A5 is the first vehicle of its type eVTOL with the ability to drive and fly in the world. It is actually an electric vehicle capable of vertical take-off and landing, which is assisted by a gasoline engine as a range extender. Range in the air at Hanger estimated at 250 miles.

This is how the wings of the Aska A5 fold.

Like the vast majority of vehicles/vessels of this type, it is also Aska A5 more of a plane than a car. The wings can be folded while driving in the spirit of insect wings, and motors drive all four wheels. The Californian company has not revealed the performance for now, but in terms of size, the A5 is similar to a mid-sized American SUV. The interior is a mix between aero and car, and instead of a classic steering wheel, there is an aero-style steering wheel Tesla's "yoke".

At Aska, they have already boasted that they have won FAA certificate, and series production is planned for 2026.
