VANWALL Vandervell is an EV-athlete that revives an almost FORGOTTEN brand

A once well-known name in motorsport returns to the scene with an interesting electric sports car, which will be produced in only 500 units.

vanwall is a name that many motoring enthusiasts are familiar with. In the XNUMXs, they were a company vanwall namely established Tony Vandervell in Colin chapman and with Stirling Moss and Maurice Trintignant behind the wheel, the young team performed very successfully in Formula 1. The Vanwall brand has now been resurrected from the dead by a company that is also competing for participation in the WEC championship.

On the first ball, their rookie seems quite similar Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, but it's actually Vanwall Vandervell in the pictures. The retro boxy electric sportster will be available in standard and Plus versions, and among other things, it features a lot aggressive aero kit, 22-inch alloy wheels, and a design feature is the F1-style centrally located LED light in the middle of the rear.

The Vanwall company says that they will initially produce 500 examples, which will cost around 125 euros.

For now, only computer renderings are available, but at to Vanwall guarantee that they took maximum care of its aerodynamics, and, as they emphasize, they made the most of the experience from motorsport. There are no pictures of the interior yet, but the manufacturer promises high-quality leather and a lot of carbon.

The standard version is powered by a maximum power electric motor 235 kW (320 HP), which enables a sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4,9 seconds. Fully charged batteries allow for 450 kilometers reach. The range is the same for the Plus model, except that the latter is significantly more powerful, as it has 432 kW (580 HP).
