Obviously Mini didn't like these photos too much. That's why it is Bavarian manufacturer to American colleagues from engine1.com sent photos that show the car a bit better than the spy shots. They only sent four photographs, which show a small electric car in the same color as in the spy photos. Anyway, here are the official photos below Mini SE, which is coming to the market in 2024.

As he reveals yellow S on the radiator, it also applies to this car electric version, the stronger one so far called Cooper SE, but she will have 160 kW driving power. Basic version Cooper E. but she will have 135 kW, as a model slowly saying goodbye. Stephanie Wurst, the boss of Mini, also recently revealed that batteries they are generally becoming bigger. While the electric Mini, which is being phased out, had only 29 kWh net (33 kWh gross), the upcoming Cooper E has 40 kWh, and SE even 54 kWh. Whether it is gross or net values is not known. But achieve will naturally increase. Instead of the current ones 203-233 kilometers in the future, customers will be able to drive at least 380 kilometers.
Let's go back to spy photos. They show a car painted in white and blue, standing behind him Porsche Cayenne with a camera attached. Apparently the producer was filming commercial film for American audiences. He was supposed to be in it new model shown in his natural environment namely in the big city. If you don't have movie sets, your only option is to risk that you caught by spy photographers and you simply drive through the crowd on the roads of the big city. This is perhaps the most likely explanation for these photos.

The whole shape is the same as before, but they are also noticeable significant changes. The headlights are larger and contain two additional horizontal elements. The vertical air intakes (air curtains) are completely missing, as is the air gap on the front cover. The frame behind the license plate, it looks taller and smoother. The car also has essentials less black plastic elements – on the mask and fenders. But there are also versions of the current electric one Mini without black accessories. The purpose of the white markings on the fenders remains unclear, perhaps they were attached for filming.
Still bigger are the differences on the rear. Back lights otherwise still showing Union Jack (British flag), but now they are much smaller. Their shape is no longer rounded rectangular, but rather triangular. In this case, one corner of the triangle is directed inwards and merges into black cross bar, which now spans almost the entire width of the body. Trunk cutout it's more rounded at the bottom, and the reflectors are positioned vertically instead of horizontally.
New electric Cooper should be long around 3,80 meters - just like its predecessor - but it will have longer wheelbase. Technical basis for the new electric Mini Cooper is new for the first time Spotlight platform, which was developed together with a Chinese partner, the company Great Wall. This means that the new Mini model will also be produced on China.
New electric Mini Cooper will be presented in May 2024, while the z version will be internal combustion engines followed in July 2024. It will appear before then electric Countryman in February 2024, aceman but it follows only in January of 2025. While aceman it is also based on the platform Spotlight, p Countryman based on the same platform as BMW iX1 and will be manufactured in Leipzig.
