Corsa F. it has an interesting history, as it was initially supposed to be a product of society General Motors, but plans changed for her when the brand Opel in Vauxhall bought by the concern PSA. Both brands are now under the umbrella of the conglomerate stellantis and for the 2024 model year, the hatchback based on the CMP platform will receive a major facelift. Both versions with an internal combustion engine as well as versions with an electric drive got these Vizor in the middle of their life cycle - a more modern mask on the nose, which we already know from larger Opel models.
Matrix headlights they have not only received a new design, but have also been improved at the same time by including 14 (instead of eight) individually controlled LED elements. At Opel they say that the headlights "they provide brightness like in a stadium" and an even better glare-free driving experience for oncoming drivers.
It is now noticeable on the rear large Corsa lettering, which was previously used for the first time on a limited series Corsa 40, presented almost a year ago. Depending on the trim level, the markings can be black or matte satin silver. The exterior changes are rounded off by a new gray color Graphic Gray, which can be combined with a black roof.
Although the interior appears to be carried over from the previous version, it is available new optional 10-inch infotainment screen, powered by the processor Snapdragon. The car manufacturer from Rüsselsheim says that smartphones connected to the car via the system are possible Android Auto ali Apple CarPlay, also charge wirelessly at the same time. Other changes include redesigned seat patterns, an updated shifter and a redesigned steering wheel.
Opel will be installed under the hood this time as well 1,2-liter hybrid powertrains with 100 or 136 horsepower, which will be available with a newly developed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Non-electrified supercharged engines with 98 and 128 hp and a 1,2-liter supercharged unit with 74 hp also remain in the range.
The biggest innovation brought by the facelift is improved Corsa Electric, which replaces the model Corsa-e. In its base version, the zero-emissions hatchback continues to offer 136 horsepower and a WLTP range of 357 kilometers. In the future, Opel will also sell a more powerful version with 156 hp (115 kW), 260 Nm of torque and a range of 402 kilometers. The vehicle otherwise uses the same configuration as the refurbished one Peugeot e-208.
