Lamborghini LANZADOR: The brand's first fully ELECTRIC CAR

Lamborghini presents a study of an electric GT with greater ground clearance with more than 1.000 kW

In addition to models Huracan in Urus with a clean internal combustion engine it has Lamborghini also a plug-in hybrid in its range Scrambled. The brand's fourth model will be an all-electric car. The manufacturer has now presented it at the car week in Monterey, which took place from August 11 to 20.

Lanzador Concept is a tall two-door car - in other words, Crossover. According to Lamborghini, the serial model will not be produced until 2028. Lamborghini therefore, it represents a study more than four years before the start of serial production. The drive is provided by two electric motors; the power of the system is more than 1.000 kW, i.e. one megawatt. This would make the car one of the most powerful electric cars on the market; so far it is Rimac Fridge far ahead of him with about 1.400 kW, the Swiss morand and should offer almost 1.500 kW. All-wheel drive is said to offer sophisticated torque distribution, with power even being actively split between the rear axle left and right – in other words, active torque vectoring for cornering.

Lamborghini presented the Lanzador study more than 4 years before the production version.

Regarding the energy storage system Lamborghini it only states that it is “state-of-the-art high-performance battery" which provides "long” reach. In addition to the hardware, according to the manufacturer, the driving dynamics will also be strongly determined by the software. Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI), apparently the vehicle's ESP, has more sensors and actuators than previous Lamborghini models. Added to this are active aerodynamics (Aerodynamics Lamborghini Attiva, ALA), which enables high pressure (i.e. high "downforce") in turns, but at the same time low resistance on the plane at high speeds. The latter, of course, also increases the range. Aerodynamically optimized ones have the same purpose 23-inch wheels. In addition, it has Pitcher air suspension and steered rear axle. Chief designer Mitja Borkert was modeled on his appearance spaceships.

With approx 1,5 meters the car is taller than a sports car; length was not disclosed. There is storage space under the short front bonnet and a large rear door provides access to the luggage compartment. There should be enough space in it for bicycles, skis or paragliding equipment. Large glass elements let light into the interior. The front seats are separated by a tall center console. Accordingly, the two front passengers each have one your screen; there is no central touchscreen. Sustainable materials such as merino wool, recycled carbon and recycled plastic, and eco-friendly tanned leather have been used.

The interior of the Lanzador study is futuristic, as the designer was inspired by a spaceship.

Lamborghini wants by the end of 2024 in general electrify its range of products. By then, all models should have at least hybrid drive, such as the aforementioned Revuelto. Urus will reportedly be available only with a plug-in hybrid drive from next year, the successor hurricane but it should also be a PHEV. The first electric car will follow years later 2028 with the serial version of the model Pitcher. It will be produced in Sant'Agata Bolognese.
