Ob 40th anniversary the premiere of the cult Fiat Panda 4×4 June 1983 now Niels van Roij Design presents a restomod project that pays homage to a car that many believe is the world's first four-wheel-drive transverse-engine small production car. In cooperation with the company Kaeve Cars is so called Panda 4×4 Piccolo Lusso in appearance it does not differ significantly from the original car, but almost all components have been reworked or redesigned.
The exterior boasts an exclusive color Azzurro Blue, reminiscent of the azure waters that hug the picturesque Italian coasts. Inside, the interior is decorated with leather upholstery, which evokes warmth and sophistication. The judicious use of fabric upholstery on the seats and the middle of the rear bench is a tribute, according to the design studio iconic boxy silhouettes, which defines this Italian classic.
This unique one Panda 4x4 started her life as Panda 4×4 Sisley. Initially introduced as a limited edition limited to 500 examples, the Sisley model eventually became a permanent model, offering features such as an inclinometer, white painted wheels, a roof rack, headlight washers, a bonnet flap and special badging Sisley. Sisley emblem, symbol Panda's adventurous spirit, is seamlessly integrated into the headrests, door trims and steering wheel of this restomod.
According to the company Niels van Roij Design every detail has been carefully considered. Elements traditionally not painted on the Panda, such as bumpers, mirrors and door handles, have been coated with paint Azzurro Blue for a more harmonious external appearance. The added white turn signals give the vintage look of the body a modern touch.
It is interesting that the original plan is to revamp the model Panda 4x4 was based on a facelifted version of the car. This can be seen from the attached digital sketches, showing the toddler with a different grille and fog lights built into the bumper. These components are not seen on the final version of the car.
Finally, we want to remind you that it was the original Fiat Panda first generation one of the longest selling small cars in Europe. It came on the market in 1980 as a successor to the Fiat 126 and Fiat 133 models, and was also sold under Seat badge. It was produced until September 2003.
