The AUDI Q4 e-tron gets a 210 kW engine from the ID.7 model

The new drivetrain not only brings more power, but also a longer range for this electric SUV.

Audi updates the model Q4 e tron. He got a compact SUV similar changes as a sister model VW ID.4 and 5: there is a new engine with power on the rear axle 210 kW replaced the 150 kW engine. There are also changes in the batteries.

All versions Audi Q4 etron they have net battery s as before 77 kWh, but the battery of all-wheel drive models can now be charged with a max 175 kW, while the rear-wheel drive model has the maximum possible power 135 kW. It is important for longer charging processes average charging capacity, which is apparently the same for rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles. Charging from 10 to 80 percent namely, in all versions it takes approx . Different batteries have also apparently been used so far. Although they had the same storage capacity and the same maximum charging power (135 kW), had different average charging power. Powered models rear wheels for example, they were charging , models powered by all wheels but much more slowly, namely .

In addition to the Q4 e-tron getting a more powerful engine, its range will also increase...

Besides, they are all cars Audi Q4 etron get new synchronous motor with permanent magnets (PSM) with 210 kW on the rear axle. This engine debuted in VW ID.7, but now also available in VW ID.4/5. Besides for 60 kW the higher the power, the more efficient the engine, which enables a greater range. However, for now, Audi has only indicated the maximum value: up to 562 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. There is still a rear-wheel-drive model and two all-wheel-drive models, but they were due greater capacity changed some model designations. So the model Q4 40 e-tron from 150 kW it becomes the 45 model with 210 kW, and the highest version now has 55 in its name instead of the number 50. Here the power increases from 220 to 250 kW. The latter will probably be the same combination as the model Cupra Tavascan VZ: the familiar asynchronous motor at the front, and the new motor with 210 kW at the rear.

Q4 45 e-tron four keep his name but now has 210 instead 195 kW. This means that this version has s all-wheel drive now exactly the same power as the rear-wheel drive model. It is likely that the car has the same hardware as the power model 250 kW, but the power is programmatically reduced to 210 kW. Coincidentally, it is also the largest here system power equal to the power of the rear engine. In addition, it has Q4 e tron improved steering setup and three chassis (standard chassis, sport chassis and damper control chassis). New among the optional assistants is the assisted lane change. The standard equipment has also been improved: MMI navigation plus, Connect Navigation & Infotainment in 10,25-inch instrument display are now serial. The rear doors are now electrically adjustable as standard, and the front seats are now also always heated.

The improved Audi Q4 e-tron will be available to order from September 26 onwards…

There is another novelty driving sound, which is specific to an individual model. This sound that comes through speakers emits outwards and inwards, it is no longer heard only at speed 25 km/h, but all the way to top speed. Sound changes with load and speed. Q4 e tron will continue to produce at the factory in Zwickau, and from the end of the year it will also be produced in Brussels. According to the allegations Audi this is in response to high demand. Also Q8 e tron (and previously the Audi e-tron) will be manufactured in Brussels. New versions Q4 e tron are not yet included in the price list PDF or configurator, so we only know the base price, which is now 52.950 euros. This means that the entry price has increased by slightly more than 1.000 euros. New versions will be available to order from 26. September.
