Ford Transit Connect now also with PHEV drive

Four-wheel drive is also available as an option for a small van.

Ford is currently engaged in the renovation of its light commercial vehicles. This includes Transit Connect, a small delivery truck that was developed in cooperation with the concern VW. It is equipped with many innovations, among which it certainly stands out new PHEV powertrain, and four-wheel drive is also available.

Plug-in hybrid, which is available for the first time in Transit Connect, combines 1,5 liter EcoBoost petrol engine with high-voltage battery and electric motor. In this configuration, the drive reaches system power 150 BAM and maximum torque 350 Nm. Six-speed gearbox DSG transmits power to the drive wheels. PHEV version has carrying capacity 770 kg and can tow trailers weighing up to 1.400 kg. In all-electric mode Transit Connect PHEV enables reach to 110 kilometers and 330 Nm of torque. There are two different options for charging the drive battery: during a shift to fast charging stations for direct current with a power of 50 kW or after a shift with assistance built-in charger for alternating current with a power of 11 kW.

The Ford Transit Connect is also available as a plug-in hybrid and can drive up to 110 km on electricity.

Kot alternative new drive system PHEV is also on the list 2,0 liter EcoBlue diesel engine with two levels of power (102 or 122 hp), which in the case of version s 122 BAM can also be combined with a drive on all wheels. The new design of the van's luggage compartment, depending on the selected wheelbase, offers a variable volume for cargo from more than 3,1 m3 to more than 3,7 m3. In all cases (except for the PHEV model) it is the maximum payload 820 kg, and the towing capacity is up to 1.500 kg.

A new generation Transit Connect in addition to new drive and volume features, it also offers a range advanced technologies in the field of systems ADAS and infotainment system.
