Compared to electric ones SUVs so electric hatchbacks still a rarity. Because VW ID.7 Tourer has not yet been presented, so MG5 ElectricBy Opel Astra Sports Tourer/Peugeot E-308 SW, Nio ET5 Touring in Porsche Sport/Cross Turismo the only models we can think of. It is available now BMW i5 Touring. The manufacturer finally showed the hatchback without camouflage and listed the prices and all the information.
With base price 72.200 euros it's a hatchback BMW i5 to be exact 2.000 euros more expensive from the corresponding limousine. The dimensions are surprisingly the same: 5,06 meters length, 1,90 meters width and 1,52 meters height. But potential buyers are likely to be particularly interested in the trunk data: i5 Touring swallows from 570 to 1700 liters. The sedan (with a small trunk lid) has 490 liters. Also photography in our gallery they offer something new. We find it surprising round back caravan.
Drive and battery
Pri drive and battery but there are no surprises. The same versions as the sedan are available: 250 kW rear-wheel drive (eDrive40) and M60, all wheel drive with 442 kW. An all-wheel drive version with 290 kW (xDrive40), which was recently added to the sedan. All versions have the same 81 kWh battery to reach around 500 kilometers.

While the limousine transports at best 579 km, the hatchback can transport up to 560 km. Of course it is consumption is slightly higher: the sedan needs at least 16 kWh, and a hatchback at least 16,5 kWh.
Competition
They are less likely to be competitors compact models such as MG5 Electric (from 35.490 euros, 479-1.367 liters of luggage space) or significantly more expensive Porsche Sport Turismo (from 92.100 euros, 446-1.212 liters and 84 liters of space in the trunk). Some will Nio ET5 Touring probably preferred to look from the side. This is available with 360-kilowatt all-wheel drive and range 435 km already for 59.500 euros, although the trunk is s 450-1.300 liters significantly smaller.
That means that Not a van offers only as much space as BMW i4 (470-1.290 liters), which could also be considered as an alternative to a sedan with a large rear door. O VW ID.7 Tourer not much is known yet, but the sedan also offers 532-1.600 liters luggage space. ID.7 is currently available for 52.235 euros. Z 210 kW it offers less power than BMW's hatchback, but it does powerful range of 621 km.
