Dacia Duster: Rustic off-road edition from CP Performance

The top model 1.3 TCe 150 4×4 generation, which will soon be discontinued, serves as the basis.

The next generation model Dacia Duster is expected to be presented pestle 2024. Nevertheless, soon the old Duster there is nothing worse on the ground. The transformation done by the company CP Performance, now provides even more off-road capabilities.

The company Carpoint, specializing in the import, sale and customization of vehicles Dacia, became famous a few months ago with a spectacular project vehicle: under the auspices of its own tuning department CP Performance were put on wheels by Dacia experts Duster, which was affectionately called "Monster” in terms of its design foil, with a large reduction, dynamic design parts and a colorful interior. Company CP Performance now follows in no less spectacular fashion: Z “Off-road edition", which was presented at the Essen Motor Show last December, are the boys and girls from Neukirchn-Vluyna turned the budget SUV into a robust expedition vehicle that is not afraid of demanding off-road tasks.

CP Performance presented a handsome off-road version of the Dacia Duster.

This was based on the current top model 1.3 TCe 150 4×4 with a 150-horsepower turbo engine and four-wheel drive. CP Performance he fitted it with suspension H&R/Koni, which increases the ground clearance by approximately 40 millimeters. In combination with a protective plate made of stainless steel Duster Offroad Edition now it moves much more confidently on the terrain and is not disturbed even by significant turns. Off-road tires Insa Turbo Dakar with rough profile and dimensions 235 / 65R16, mounted on steel rims Dotz, provide a lot of traction on rough terrain and “extremely masculine look". The latter are originally black, but there are CP Performance customized with red beds and a red center cap so that they now capture the color scheme of the intricate digital print of the design foil in red/white/silver colors on a matte black background.

The bumpers, sills and wheel trims were painted with the same matte Raptor color, which is scratch resistant. Speaking of wheel arches: CP Performance flexibly widened them, which on the one hand covers the wheels, and on the other hand provides a wider appearance of the shoulders. CP Performance is above the vehicle's roof racks Duster installed a massive roof rack that carries various “elimination equipment” and a wide working light LED . Also black indicators and fog lights on the variant Off-road edition have been upgraded with LED technology. Even crossing the water shouldn't be a problem due to the suction snorkel, but if the driver gets too wild on the terrain, the Duster Offroad Edition simply pulls out of the mud with powerful cable winch. Off-road vehicles are also characterized by front and rear bars and robust walking boards, which also allow easier entry into the cabin. There, passengers can expect a passenger compartment that is anything but standard.

The highlight of the interior is the starry sky.

CP Performance is instead of the factory interior Dacia made a colorful leather interior and alcantara, which is particularly attractive with expressive red accents on the seats, rear bench, door and side panels, gear lever and handbrake pouch, and steering wheel. Dacia logo on the bumper and the air vents on the dashboard are wrapped in the same color. Interesting: the floor mats and the bottom of the trunk are made of corrugated stainless steel.
