Today’s race was driven by racers counterclockwise. There were no major upheavals for much of the race. It was only in the last few minutes that the drama began. Racers began to lack energy (fuel).
Vergne was the first victim of excessive energy consumption. Wishing he could finish the race, he slowed down and immediately started falling down the ladder.
