VERSTAPPEN about ALBON: It wasn’t exactly an EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE

Alex Albon finished third in Bahrain, but his team-mate was not overly enthusiastic about his ride.

The weekend is for Alexander Albon he didn't start well in the collision in training, but in the end Tajec took third place in the race in Bahrain and together with Max Verstappn provided the first double steps for Red Bull for Suzuki 2017

"It was a good race for me," he says Albon. “We started well and from then on it was basically about taking advantage of the mistakes and problems of others. I wasn’t fast enough to overtake Perez, so all I had to do was wait for any competitors ’problems and that eventually happened. Third place was a good result. ”

Thai racer is aware that he could have reached the other podiums in Formula 1 only because he is Perez just before the end he suffered a breakdown in his car and was forced to resign. "He had a great race too, so I'm not entirely happy," he says. "I'd say I'm 95 percent satisfied."

Team boss Christian horner agrees with the thesis that Albon drove a good race, although he is aware that it has benefited Albon greatly Perez failure. Albon managed to return after Friday's accident and be in the right place when it was needed: "Today has been a good day for Alexa."

But not everyone sees it that way. Team mate Max Verstappen is glad to be Albon managed to get on the podium, but after the race he also found some critical words for his teammate: "I don't think it's a particularly outstanding show if you're 30 or 40 seconds behind." he went up in price Albon. "I'm sorry Checa because he drove a really good race."
