The PORTUGAL GP will take place this year without SPECTATORS

All indications are that the third race of this season, the Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimao, will also take place behind closed doors.

In 2020, this was one of rare raceswhere the entry was viewers allowed, although in limited numbers. But due to recent government action in the case coronavirus, spectators will have to stay off the racetrack this year.

Last season it was formula 1 for the first time since 24 years returned to Portugal, where the race was held in Portimão and not as last in Estoril. Track in Algarve has received much praise from both racers and fans. But the latter will not be able to follow the events on the racetrack live this year, as colleagues from Motorsportweek.com.

Last year, the race in Portugal was one of the few where spectators were allowed to enter. This year, this will most likely not be possible as the race will take place behind closed doors.

The same was true for the last race VN Emilija Romanje in the legendary Imoli. During the racing weekend GP Bahrain, where the inaugural race of this season took place, were accepted smaller number of spectators, but the condition was that they were vaccinated against Covid-19 or that they can prove that they have already survived the virus.

Racing weekend GP of Portugal v Portimão will take place next weekend from April 30 to May 2.
