Mercedes is at Lewis Hamilton already done this season two engine changes, which sponsored city mark-up penalties. V Istanbul got the first new internal combustion engine, v Sao Paulo and another followed.

Red Bull is at Max Verstappn so far replaced only and engine. In Sochi got a new one because they had to replace the one from Silverstone, who was injured after a severe collision due to a close encounter with Hamilton. So at Mercedes as well as Red Bullu they do not plan any engine changes until the end of the season. At Mercedes, they announced that they will be in Saudi Arabia vehicles with an engine from Sao Paulo. Will they v Abu Dhabi used an engine from Brazil or Turkey, at the time outside the team is not known.

Helmut Marko explained that at Red Bullu do not plan to change the engine until the end of the season and also explain the reason for this decision.

Ob assumptionsto appear unexpected failurebecause Red Bull in any case, the season ended with the current contingent of engines. The reason for this is simple. While at Mercedes the difference in performance between the new and old engine relatively large, engines Honda they lose less on capacity over their lifetime.

When asked by colleagues from Sky Germany, or possibly planning to replace the engine, is Helmut Marko, Chief Consultant Red Bulland replied: "No! With Honda, we are not faced with such fluctuations. Our engines are stable. The width of the oscillation is located within half a percent and not like in Mercedes, where it is almost two percent."
