Magnussen left Formula 1 at the end of 2020 because of the team Haas she opted for two newcomers, one of which had a voluminous suitcase of money. The Dane was informed of this late in the season, so he no longer had a chance to find it second seat in Formula 1. So he moved to America, where he is active in the championship IMSA Sportscar Championship for the team Chip Ganassi Racing.

Since his departure Magnussen he made no secret of the fact that he was glad he was launched Formula 1. In America, he can run for office again victorywhich Formula 1 never allowed him to do. But a possible return to the team Haas would be v the opposite with his previous ones statements. But with a Danish newspaper Extra Blade now they know he is supposed to be Magnussen a good candidate for replacement Mazepina. He will replace the Russian in a test in Bahrain Pietro fittipaldi, but the Brazilian is not destined for the permanent seat of the team.

Kevin Magnussen was then a member of the Chip Ganassi Racing team in the American IMSA series, and the Dane also has a contract with Peugeot in the WEC series.

Team owner Gene Haas has already announced that the team is looking an experienced racer. In this regard, the name quickly emerged by Antonio Giovinazzi, who raced for Alfa Romeo and is under its wing Ferrari, which supplies Haas with engines and everything it can according to the rules. But according to a Danish newspaper on the team Haas give preference Magnussen, who knows the team and is also a good racer. But he has Dane still a contract with the team Chip Ganassi Racing, as well as a three-year contract with Peugeot in the WEC series.

Haas will have to miss the morning part of the first day of testing in Bahrain due to the delay

On Monday, it became clear that Haas will not arrive on time in Bahrain, where other tests of the 2022 season begin tomorrow. Cargo plane, which is supposed to bring their parts from Doncastra in Bahrain, is stuck in Istanbul even before it could fly to British Doncaster. It's a detour Haas however arrived in Bahrain.

However, their equipment arrived with day of delay and due to tight schedules, this has implications for the Bahrain test. Haas has posted on his twitter account that there has indeed been a delay that will affect test program. However, the team hopes to be able to take action tomorrow afternoon and thus lost only half a day of testing.
