Mercedes-AMG G 63 4 × 4² has PORTAL axles and 585 “horsepower”

Mercedes has revealed the first photos of the new Mercedes-AMG G63 4 × 4², which has an extremely large distance from the ground due to the portal axes.

The newcomer was presented on a special website Mercedes G-Class Private Lounge, but it is the last in a series of models with a large distance from the ground by model G63 AMG 6 × 6, G63 4 × 4² in Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet, but is the first of them based on the new generation of the G-Class.

Mercedes-AMG G63 4 × 4² ie got a set of 22-inch wheels with tires for unpaved terrain, extended fenders, LED lights on the roof, a special green color of the exterior and carbon fiber accessories, as well as a lot of carbon in the interior, changed infotainment system and customized ambient lighting and leather on the steering wheel and sports seats.

It is installed under the bonnet four-liter V8 with two turbochargers capable of 430 kW (585 HP) maximum power and 850 Nm of maximum torque. Mercedes' capabilities have not been revealed, but they are on the asphalt bulkier tires and poorer aerodynamics most likely inferior to the conventional G63, but is therefore all the more sovereign on unpaved terrain.
