Mercedes-Benz EQG it debuted as a concept and later came as a driving prototype. Spy shots but they are the first opportunity to see it now during development as part of a test in cold conditions. Mercedes has this electric SUV covered with black and blue camouflage, which is the same colors as the camouflage on the prototype, but with a different pattern. This one EQG it looks remarkably similar to the prototype, which also means that it has a lot in common with the existing one to class G. The design includes openings on the front fascia and a grille with two folded open slats. Round headlights they have three different parts. The rear fenders have long oval holes. These vents may be to direct brake cooling air, but the location does not seem ideal for this purpose.
The last part of it EQG looks weird because back there there is no spare wheel, which is what you would expect from a G-Class. This part was present on the prototype. On the concept, the circular space served as a storage box charging cables. The EQG still rides on a ladder frame chassis, although not identical to that under the existing G-Class. Modifications were required to fit Battery EQ and electric motors. Chassis panels from carbon kevlar protect these components from damage during off-road driving.
Prototype EQG it contains four electric motors and four transfer cases. Individual power on each wheel enables good vehicle handling. Details of system power in battery capacity are not yet available. This one SUV supposed to weigh the bad ones 3.000 kilograms. The electric EQG is expected to go on sale in the year 2024, so it is too early to talk about prices. In comparison, the current G550 starts in the US at $ 139.900.
