The first leaked PHOTOS of the next GENERATION Volkswagen TIGUAN

The five-seater Tiguan abandons the angular shape of the current model and uses a new tablet touch screen and rotary switch "Driver Experience Switch".

Due to several spy shots, VW's carefully prepared prediction campaigns with camouflaged prototypes and glimpses of the unmasked car shooting videos for the upcoming premiere, we've already had quite a solid idea of what will the new generation of the model look like VW Tiguan. But now we have an even better look at the vehicle without any skin, thanks a series of fugitive photos, which reveal the curves of the new SUV in all its undisguised grandeur.

In the three pictures that were posted in the group MQB-Coding & Retrofit na Facebook, the front and rear parts and the interior of the third-generation Tiguan are shown, which should see its official premiere later this year, in It will be sold in Europe next year. It won't be in the US. Instead of the Tiguan Allspace, North American buyers will be greeted by a three-row version VW Tayron, which is currently sold in China and which will also be headed to Europe, where it will be available together with Tiguans.

Fugitive shots of the exterior give us a clear look at the Tiguan's smooth nose, a wide lower grille and a narrow upper grille consisting of a simple flattened panel that is almost certainly illuminated and connects to the darkened headlight units. Instead of strong straight lines that run from nose to tail along the sides of the current SUV, it has the new Tiguan has softer lines, marked by a pair of eyebrows above the front and rear wheel openings and a gently rising beltline. A feature of the rear is the thick plastic panel that connects the two rear lights.

Third picture showing the interior, which isn't all that interesting, since we already got a look at the undisguised dashboard with a 15-inch touchscreen tablet and a stick-mounted shifter in VW's recent trailer. By removing the traditional shift lever on the console, space was freed up for the new one "driving experience switch", which you can see in Volkswagen's new promotional video.

This switch is kind of a cross between to BMW's iDrive controllers and traditional drive mode selectors, as it allows you to change several settings in the car with a combination of turning the switch and pressing its center. VW says it can be used to adjust the radio volume, adjust the operation of the all-wheel drive system and powertrain, and adjust the ambient lighting. Definitely it looks cool, but time will tell how annoying or useful the matter is in practice.

We saw something similar in the recently introduced VW's ID.2all concept, but unlike the aforementioned small van the new Tiguan it will not be available with an electric powertrain. Instead, it will be on the MQB Evo platform, already used by cars such as the eighth generation Golf, a range of petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains are available.
