For engines with axial flow are typical silent operation, a small space for installation, low heat production and very high torque. In addition to its own electric motors Mercedes also continues to develop the electric powertrain (eATS), including an electric motor, transmission components and powerful electronics to create eATS 2.0. Mercedes will powertrain in the factory in Untertürkheim produced since 2024. From 2025 it will also be used in the Mercedes platform (“MB.EA“), where it will also include 800 volt technology.
