Ta BMW Isetta wants some of your attention, but not to restore it to its former glory, since it's obviously a scaled-down model, but to hit the shelves with little plastic-wrapped cubes and the LEGO logo, which adorns the box.
Currently, there is a project that has managed to collect more than 1.800 supporters, (and there are still more than 560 days until the end of the project) to convince about 8.200 more people who have to click on the blue button, managed to repeat the shape a real microcar, which was in production from 1953 to 1961.
According to the builder, it is 220 mm long, 132 mm wide and 128 mm high, and is made of 851 cubes. That's less than a quarter compared to the official model Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 LEGO Technic in 1:8 scale, which was launched online a while ago and boasts several working components and a replica V12 engine.
Model LEGO Isetta, done in a light blue shade reminiscent of classic models, has a single front door that opens just like a real microcar, and is attached to a steering wheel that was quite difficult to build. The interior is beige and includes other details such as pedals, gear lever and even a sunroof.
