formula 1 in Mercedes S-Class they usually complement each other only when important people drive to the racetrack, but this time it was the solutions from F1 that gave the luxury sedan an extra measure of sportiness. While they are at the model C63 S replaced the eight-cylinder with a four-cylinder hybrid, yes S63 preserved four-liter V8, which is also supplemented by an electric motor on the rear axle.
The electric motor works with a small capacity battery 13,1 kWh, which is enough for nothing impressive 33 kilometers electric range, but it is still more than at C63, which allows a total of 6,1 kilometers of electric driving with a 13 kWh battery. At AMG they point out that when it comes to electrical work, they didn't look at range, but at capacity.
The power of the internal combustion engine remains the same as its predecessor, which means 612 horsepower, and it is necessary to add more to them 190 “horses”, which are contributed by the electrical part of the powertrain, which means that the system power of the S63 is just 590 kW (802 HP), and the torque is also a bearish 1.430 Nm. The performance is also suitable for this - the Mercedes-AMG S0 accelerates from 100 to 63 km/h in 3,5 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. For an additional fee for the package AMG Driver's Package it can be raised to 290 km/h.
Of course at S63 Performance it cannot be done without air suspension, adjustable shock absorbers and ceramic brakes, but not without in the interior maximum luxury for four people who can enjoy AMG leather, screens connected to the MBUX infotainment system and a premium audio system.
Price for a newbie at AMG they haven't revealed yet, but they will most likely start over 150 thousands of euros.
